I should have written this yesterday but I was so tired and my head is spinning because I didn’t get a good night sleep. It is so hard to get a good sleep when you have a patient in your house. You got to be attentive to her needs.
So here is the story when my nephew visited our house. I am very happy that he is helping out with doing some blood sugar testing with my mother. At first, when he volunteered, I thought that he wants to play with the test strip so I said no. Talking like a grown-up he told me that he wants to conduct the testing on her grandmother. I assisted him in doing it since he doesn’t know how to operate the blood sugar monitor. He pierce the middle finger of my mother and squeeze it so that the blood flows from the wound. I have conducted the testing so that no test strip is wasted. Maybe he is planning to take nursing in the future to take care of her mother who is also in danger of having diabetis someday.
