Type 1.5 Diabetes: Another Type of Diabetes...

As I am conversing on diabetesdaily I found out that there is another type of diabetis that I haven’t mentioned before since I am not aware of this type.  It is type 1.5 diabetes; I found that it like type 1 diabetes but is just a slower version.  At first it could be controlled by medications but it will eventually develop and pretty soon your body will not be producing insulin at all. LADA (Latent Autoimmune Diabetes...

The term Pre Diabetes...

I have been using this term for quite some time now but I haven’t defined it yet so today I thought of defining it.  Pre-diabetes means that that person will be having diabetes soon or in the break of acquiring diabetes in the near future. The term was introduced first by the American Diabetes Association way back on 2002.  It is not the original name for that condition; the previous name is Impaired Glucose Tolerance...

Monogenic, The Third Type of Diabetes...

Ever since I found out that I have diabetis I always thought that there are only two types of diabetes until recently.  At first, the existence of type 3 seems to be imaginary but after careful researching that I found out that it is indeed true. The third type is called monogenic diabetes which is like type 1 diabetes since the body also stops producing insulin.  But if you are going to treat it with certain drugs...

Hypoglycemia, the low blood threat for diabetic...

Hypoglycemia is a normally occurring if you are trying to manage your blood sugar level too well.  A person who has been from diabetis normally would want to lower their blood sugar level but...

Type 1 Diabetis, the Worst Type of Them All...

It is an autoimmune disease which meant that the pancreas can’t do its job no more. Pancreas is the one that is responsible on producing insulin on our body, without insulin the body looses the ability to use the glucose in our...

My first experience at Philippines General Hospita...

In my last blog post, I noted that I will be going to the hospital. This is the continuation of experience at a big hospital like PGH (Philippine General Hospital). I couldn’t sleep prior to going, I don’t know whether I am excited or scared or it is just because of my insomnia. I just watch One Piece (anime) so that I wouldn’t get bored waiting for the time comes. We were supposed to take a ride at exactly...

A type 2 diabetis...

The last time that I went to the hospital, I ask my doctor on what type I am but she said that only big hospital could do the procedure to know which type I am. I was so sad on hearing this but she noted that I must be type 2 diabetes because I can still control my diabetis by just exercising. This is just a guess from the doctor but I think that I would take it as it is since I don’t have money to go to one of those...
